Kilometre tax for trucks (France)
French Parliament approved a kilometre tax on trucks which will apply to all lorries using national roads, and some local roads in France. About one third of lorry kilometres driven in France are already covered by tolls and this new system will extend coverage by a third (ENDS, 2009) The tax will apply from 2011.
